About this kit

One front Contano hub for a 1989–1994 Nissan 240SX (S13): a replacement for one corner, or to finish a conversion.

What 5-lug gets you

  • Bolt on Nissan’s own 5x114.3 brakes as they were made, with no re-drilled rotors: Z32 300ZX 4-piston fronts, R33, or GT-R / 350Z Brembo
  • Run any 5x114.3 wheel: about 48 times as many wheels are listed in 5x114.3 as in 4x114.3
  • Steel M12×1.25 studs come installed

The hub

  • Contano OEM-replacement hub, CNC-machined forged steel
  • Bearing comes pre-pressed and pre-greased: 100% bolt-on, with no changes to the spindle, knuckle or ball joints
  • Fits the stock 240SX spindle (30 mm bearing bore)

03 · How it works

Swap the hub.
Keep the knuckle.

S13 · 5 × 114.3
The conversion swaps one part. The knuckle and spindle stay as they are; the stock 4 × 114.3 hub comes off and the Contano hub slides on in its place, bearing already pressed in, held by the same washer, castle nut and cotter pin, with 5 M12 × 1.25 studs on the same 114.3 mm circle and the 66.1 mm hub-centric pilot.
  1. Step 01

    Off with the 4-lug hub

Wheel, caliper and rotor off, then the old hub: up front it comes off the spindle once the spindle nut is out. The knuckle, spindle and ball joints stay exactly where they are.

  2. Step 02

    On with the 5-lug hub

The new hub arrives with its bearing pressed in and greased and five M12×1.25 studs installed. Up front it slides straight onto the stock spindle; torque the spindle nut and cap it. No press, no machine shop.

  3. Step 03

    Run 5-lug brakes and wheels

Fit 5×114.3 brakes as Nissan made them (Z32 300ZX, R33, Brembo), or keep your stock calipers with 5-lug S14 SE rotors. Then any 5×114.3 wheel bolts straight on.

  4. A mechanically confident owner can do it on jack stands with hand tools. When in doubt, have a shop install it.

06 · FAQ

Before you order.

Do I have an S13 or an S14?

Go by model year: a 1989–1994 240SX is an S13 (coupe with pop-up headlights, hatchback or convertible); a 1995–1998 US 240SX is an S14. If the car has had a front-end swap or different knuckles, order for the knuckles it has now, not the bodywork. The rear hubs are the same part on both.

Will they fit my spindle?

They fit the stock 240SX spindle: the bearing bore is 30 mm, the factory size. They will not fit larger aftermarket or other-chassis spindles. Nothing on the spindle, knuckle or ball joints is modified.

What comes in the box?

Each hub comes with its bearing already pressed in and greased and five steel M12×1.25 studs installed, ready to bolt on. Rotors and calipers are not included.

Which brakes can I run?

Nissan’s 5×114.3 brakes bolt on as made, with no re-drilled rotors: most popular is the Z32 300ZX setup (280 mm rotors and 4-piston calipers up front, against the stock 252–257 mm single-piston), and R33 GTS-t, R33/R34 GT-R or 350Z Brembo brakes go on too. Want to keep your stock calipers for now? 5-lug S14 SE rotors fit them. Brake parts are sold separately.

Can I convert just the front or just the rear?

Yes. Front pairs, rear pairs and single hubs are sold separately, so you can convert one axle now and the other later, or replace one corner. The rear hubs fit both the S13 and the S14.

When will my order ship?

In-stock orders ship from Las Vegas, Nevada, the same or next business day, free anywhere in the US, and you get a confirmation email straight away and tracking as soon as it ships. When a hub is on backorder the product page says so before you pay. Check any order at Order status.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, at a flat rate shown at checkout before you pay. Customs duties and import taxes are paid by the buyer.

Can I return it?

Yes. Hubs in new, uninstalled condition can be returned within 30 days of purchase.
